The Hartford project, conceived by Yves Chareton in the United States in 1979, is to revisit the classics of American dressing and give them a modern twist. A decisive encounter launched the adventure: a New York manufacturer sold him old stocks of oxford and chambray fabric, perfect for making the first Hartford shirts with a vintage spirit, unavailable on the market. A few years later, the studio returned to Paris. The brand is structured and commercial development begins: the collections expand and become a guarantee of a flawless product in terms of materials and style.
